IT's that time of year when every Scotland fan can look forward to a football summer of DISASTER for our English friends.

All the hope and expectation will be washed away with red cards, back-passes and one-paced predictable football leaving you FLOUNDERING in South Africa.

Lets look forward to the faces of MISERY and FAILUREof all England supporters - they will be CRYING into their lager in a pub near you soon.

Yawn.

The World Cup is a much better place when the piss smelling ginger haired skirt wearing jocks are there giving everyone an easy three points.

Alas its not likely to happen again in our lifetime.

I've never really understood the Scottish-English rivalry. I never have disliked Scotland until I went there and had to put up with constant small-minded comments from literally every bloke I met. fair to say, I decided I wouldn't go back to Scotland again because it is a country full of insecure little boys. Never mind, I still am ambivalent towards the Scots, I've always seen the French as the old enemy.

At least we will be there though. Shame your country is so shit otherwise you might be able to support your team rather than putting all your efforts into hating another. Jock twat. :bigwave:

There's no rivalry.

The Scots are OBSESSED with us, and we couldn't care less about them.

I don't even know the name of their manager.

You clearly haven't watched a single england game in the last 2 years.

No, but he's obviously been watching all of Scotlands.

Bless. I love it how the scotch are still struggling to come to terms with their natural place in football, and simply wallow in potential English failure to replace pride in their own nation.

They had their chances. 1974 and 1978 with their best ever teams and still failed to get past the group stages *meh*.

Now of course, they are pitiful, pointless minnows who will never dine at the game's top table again, and are currently the skidmark on the pants of UEFA.

There's no rivalry.

The World Cup finals are the poorer for not having enough little countries qualifying. It's a shame for the Faroe Islands,Singapore,Canada and other remote places where the domestic football is too poor to generate a reasonable national team.

We really need to have f***ed up and be gnashing our teeth and crying into our beer that some Johnny Foreigner has robbed us before you can get any mileage or satisfaction from a thread like this Digweed. You'll be needing to wait until we are two weeks into the World Cup...then come back and try again.

I think the qualification of North Korea, a country only marginally more livable than Scotland, gives real hope to these sort of countries.

Nail on head. The Scots seem to hate us more for the fact that we couldn't actually give a shit about them.

Still, when the absolute highlight of a World Cup year is hoping another team fail must be quite hard to take, bless 'em.

Yes,and for all other underperforming small nations. It's like when a third tier team gets to the FA cup semi-finals,which is another rare event.

I will be enjoying myself in South Africa this summer whilst the poor men in skirts once again spend the summer supporting any team that plays England! How sad!

Anyway now lets start to take a look at which teams the Scotland team will fail miserably against in the next lot of Euro quailiers? Oh it will be the hard luck story against Lithuania and then a disaster as points dropped against the mighty Liechtenstein!

Perhaps Scotland should play in a new group of smaller countries for there own World Cup so that they can at least play matches at there own level?
