This thread has got me quite interested in the Normans so I'm going to have to order some books about it I think.
That's great that you have a connection to the invasion.
I always think it's fascinating that everyone alive at the moment, including ourselves,all carry the DNA of people from the past who were part of great moments in history.
I always wanted to do one of those DNA tests I wish I had now.
I can only trace a few threads of my family tree and only about 150 years so a DNA test would be really interesting.
