Savage to sue???

It's clearly ludicrous, but the reality is the open-ended nature of the human rights laws, particularly in the light of the way recent cases have gone, means you can argue pretty much anything infringes them. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins, setting another disasastrous precedent.

But has he thought this through ?

After all, if he broke someones leg in the next game, he could theoretically get taken to court for assault.

Besides if his ban is overturned it shows that referee's and their authority and being backed up by authorising bodies is over.
