Savage was at least trying to urge his teammates forward for the last 20 minutes. Sadly they ignored him and just kept sinking back deeper and deeper and deeper, until the inevitable happened. We had a corner at one point, and the entire back four PLUS El-Abd stayed back on the halfway line.

I pointed that out to my brother and it doesnt matter who we are playing if 2 of the back 4 had gone forward a couple of their players would have gone with them, although they only had 2 up at that point.

Exactly. Cheltenham left three forward in fact, because we'd left our entire defence back for that corner. The longer the game went on, the more trouble we invited onto ourselves.

but surely everyone knows that when you defend a corner you bring ALL your team back into the box. Ok so sometimes it means they all leave the ball to eachother, or maybe sometimes somebody may head it out to where an opposition player may just be hanging around outside the box and is then able to crack an unstoppable shot over everyone & into the goal.
Still, that doesn't happen.....often.

Had 2 of our players gone up they would have taken at least 2 back to cover them, gauranteed.

Sod the goal and defensive strategy...we drew 3-3 with low lying Cheltenham.
Disgusting, we should be at least challenging for the play offs. We are now bottom half of the table...and love him or hate him, R savage should have inspired the team, but as usual our players cant inspire themselves unless they are playing Premiership opposition.
Dont know whats going on but its damn awful and someone needs to step up.
