Barbecued is best, but most of the year I normally chuck them in the oven - simples. Waitrose pork and apple are my favourite of the summer so far.

slow cook if they contain herbs to diffuse the flavour otherwise it doesn't matter.

Sausages should be cooked on as low a heat as possible, for absolutely ages. No need to turn them, either.

On a sunday morning, get them going in the pan, wander down to the newsagent to pick up a paper, back home, make a coffee, go back to bed, read at least two sections of your paper, and then wander down to see how they are doing. Depending on how far the walk to the papershop is, and which two sections you choose to read from the paper, that pretty much works.
