In previous seasons we wouldn't have come away with any points from a game against a team like Sheff U with seven injured players including our two centre-backs. So all credit to the team on Saturday and to Mark McGhee for successfully slotting players into unfamiliar positions this season.

Look at what we've got:
Two very good goalkeepers. Plus May who I don't know much about.
A good choice of fullbacks .. El Adb, Hinsh, Virgo, Harding, Mayo and as he proved yesterday, Paul Reid. And Jonah can play there.
Not a bad list of central defenders .. Danny, Butters, Hinsh, Virgo and even Mayo (although I think he struggles a bit in that role).
Lots of choice in midfield ... Currie, Nicolas, Chippie, Hammond, Hinsh (again!), Charlie, Jarrett, Rodger, Reid, Jonah, Hart. Have I forgotten any?
Strikers ... Leon, McPhee, Virgo, Mohlango and Jake.

Of that lot Jonah and OGH have probably seen their best days with the Albion, but the rest are all vying for first team football. In my view probably the strongest squad we've had for a very long time.

Do we need any immediate strengthening? We could probably still use a target man up front. Virgs has done a great job, but ....

All in all a good feeling. I believe we'll do OK this season.

wherever the money is
Indeed we do have a very good young squad coming through and hopefully we will be able to repeat the feats of Millwall who were struggling when Magoo took over and he brought the best out of a lot of his youngsters
