Anyone got any thoughts on Boston's favourite brew? Unlike most American "beer" this is good stuff. Thoroughly recommend Octoberfest and Black Lager as well as the easier to get hold of Boston Lager. Not sure how easy it is to get hold of at home although I happen to know the Donkey Centre Half had a bottle of Boston Lager in his fridge last Saturday.

Some years ago I had the fortune to visit Boston, including an evening spent eating fantastic fish and chips and consuming a reasonable amount of beer in a place called the Brew Moon...the brewery could be viewed through a large window from the bar, not sure if it is still there, but it proved that the Yanks can brew decent beer.

Certainly the only beer worth drinking there that is available across the US. Micro brews otherwise and they are hit and miss.

Love it. Especially the draft winter brew I had in Philly earlier this year.

Only drink that and Yuengling when in the States.

Which reminds me, we are off to dinner with friends tomorrow night, and they are theming it on The U S of A.

So anyone know where I can get some US beer, that isn't Bud or Coors?
