Essentially he confirmed everything that was suggested in my piece on the club website - that he's not going to be Jose Mourinho in press conferences. Or even Gus Poyet. He gave as little away as he did when he played in the Liverpool back four.
There'll be more from SP in tomorrow's papers, and also TB and PB - but don't expect zinging quotes or stunning revelations.

WHAT? You mean Andy Naylor's tweet from an hour or so ago, teasing the reader with the prospect of "fresh embargoed material" is just a cheap ruse to get people to buy tomorrow's Argus??
I reckon that could be Orlandi &/or PIG coming back. Just a guess, based on TB and PB both saying that it could happen if SH wants players back who have just been released.

Doubt it. He'd know next to nothing of Orlandi, & Kuszczak only by reputation (not form) at this stage.

There is something almost comical about the height difference between Bloom and Hyypia:
The photo would have been even more comical if they had taken the photo level rather than on an angle, Surely Mr Bloom could do a Tom Crusie and either stand ten feet in front of our Sami or just stand on a milk float !!
Is that the Poland team, that has not qualified for the last 2 world cups? And the Poland that had a friendly last week and called up 4 keepers and he was not one of them.

There is fresh embargoed material but Hyypia wouldn't even say which managers he learnt most from. There's some mildly amusing World Cup-related stuff and a bit about his experiences at Leverkusen but all a little general and vague. When we asked him to be more specific he more or less refused. It's almost as if he thought the press might try to trip him up, a foul slur on Her Majesty's sporting media that some people like to propagate. You know who you are!
