I would have recommended the game today, Chelts is fairly genteel and apart from an element of their younger supporters who sing songs about homophobia and Cheltenhamshire it is a pretty safe place to be. Games to avoid should probably include Hereford, some of their fans have extremely long memories and still haven't forgiven us for dumping them out of the league...despite the fact that they finished bottom and had the whole of the league above them and not just the team they had drawn with on the last day of the season.

About four years ago I took my younger daughter (then aged 8) and one of her school friends to Millwall. We even walked back to Canada Water tube station afterwards. No problem at all.
The walk across Southwark Park is very pleasant. Not a hint of trouble.

But, as several people have said, the segregation of fans at Millwall is now complete. It must be one of the few stadiums in the country where it's possible to get in and out without ever sharing street space with opposition supporters.

Have been to most of the grounds coming up and never had any trouble, had a couple of fans shouting across train stations but nothing more and nothing threatening. If your not sure about millwall, then mk dons should be quite easy and also a decent stadium, and so would colchester with their new stadium which isnt too far. Orient should be good for atmosphere aswell.

If you can make it Leicester should be ok and be a great experience for your lad to witness us stopping them breaking their record of 10 straight wins at home.

Walsall is friendly...also a night match which always adds to the sence of occasion.

Millwall away is about the safest you can get to be honest.

I'd say based on today's events this is far from true. I agree, Millwall is not particularly threatening nowadays, but I can think of far friendlier places.

Which ever match you go and watch in London. Especially Millwall as its close.

Maybe take him here before the game??............................................

Is that the Imperial War Museum ??

If so, I was thinking that exact same thing. I heard its got actual tanks and planes in there.. Ooooh. I'm getting excited already..:flameboun :flameboun

Orient last season was one of the highlights for me. Small ground, we packed out our end, and sang out hearts out for 90 minutes. No trouble either.
