Eriksson should quit NOW...............his tactics are dreadful and he doesn't have the respect of the dressing room.
And the country are no longer behind him
Get Stuart Pearce in there...........he'd probably even do the job for free.........he's that passionate about England. You will never see that passion from a Swede.
Our problem isn't individual players, we have some great talent, it's the fact our manager has all our players playing as individuals. Even a set of very average players can play well and get a good result if they're organised properly, simply look at Scotland and N.Ireland tonight. In fact, you can see it clearly in the way Scotland played with Vogts in charge compared to how the same players are performing now.
The way I see us at the moment, we have individuals far greater than we had in 1996, but that was a much much better team than what we have at the moment. And it's clearly down to poor tactics and continually putting excellent players in the wrong positions so they don't have a clear idea of what they're trying to achieve.
Thank god we have got that rubbish out of the way, now we can concentrate on an England team that plays with passion, direction and ability.
Some have said that winning the ashes would be our greatest sporting achievement since winning the World Cup in 66, based on tonights performance it will be a long time before that achievement is equalled.
Sven's on £5m a year, I believe, with a contract to 2008. Sack = £15m. Even if we had lost 4-0 tonight, I couldn't see the FA sacking him. The only hope is that someone has some REAL dirt on him, and he's forced to do a deal with the FA. I used to respect him, but the last few games have been AWFUL. How do you get so many excellent players to play so badly
Pay the manager £5 million a year, thats how you do it!!He is in a win win situation, they sack him he gets the big handout,we keep him on he gets the big handout, simple really isnt it!
We should be taking a good look at the top men in the FA,they are the ones who appointed him and drew up his contract, get rid of the top tier first and then work your way thru the rest of the deadwood in the FA.
Also, what do you expect from a foriegn manager who thinks he is still in the Italian League with his negative tactics and playing one up front
I could see the goal coming 10 minutes before it did.
We looked completly lost after Joe Cole came on and what the f*** was that formation we were playing when he did? At one point I'm sure it was 2-3-2-1-2.
