South Africa concede a no-ball for having three men behind square on the legside! Schoolboy stuff :lolol:

I can see the logic in selecting Anderson. Jones hasn't bowled that well, Anderson has been patient and, particularly for this match, we need a bowler who can throw down a lot of overs so we can nurse Flintoff.

Jones (88 overs) just hasn't bowled anywhere near the amount of overs in this series that Hoggard, Harmison and Flintoff have (c.120 - 130 each).

They were saying on the radio (when I finally got round to coming to work) that Anderson has been brought in simply because he can swing the ball. Also when South Africa were over here, he was one of the few that could get Kallis out cheaply. Atherton did question whether Anderson was match fit, due to the fact that he has not played any cricket since December (good planning by the ECB playing all the tests bunched together).

''The 4 scored by Strauss brought up his highest score in Test match cricket which now beats his previous highest score of 137 scored at Lords against the West Indies''

147 - excellent for snooker, pretty damn good for cricket

out, edged to the slips

bad time to lose the wicket

dodgy pair out there now

off to the pub to catch the end of this I think
