OK too depressed to talk about the footie after today.

Watched the Aussies play dream rugby this morning but what about England ?

Will we be found out or when the chips are down will we produce a stormer ?

I watched the game on the French Channel TV5 and will again tomorrow - far more passion in the commentating and ITV are crap at sports production.

Are we up for it ?

I think a definite yes !

Ah, Beach Hut. I watched a fair bit of french rugby when I was out living in Paris. Can't remember who he plays for, but the commentators always used to snigger whenever Labite (Bite =French slang for 'cock') got the ball......."bonne penetration par Labite".

I think we'll win, and, sticking my neck out here, by a fair margin.

Watching in France too. I hope to be able to hear what the ref says as the British commentators talk non stop and over the ref when he's explaining decisions, and some of them do need explaining! I doubt it though, the French commentators get pretty excited.

Too close to call but if we let the French score the 1st try I'll fear the worst. Wilkinson had better have his kicking boots on as I believe we'll try and grind them down with forward play, kicking from hand and penalties.

Putting aside national bias either team against the Aussies will be worth watching next week.

Saw Montferrand v Toulouse a long time ago (1989?) although seem to remeber a very young Galthie was playing for Montferrand. Toulouse were licensed hooligans that day, very entertaining.

It's win-win for me tomorrow. If we beat the French, superb. If we lose, I don't really care, it's only rugby.
