That was gripping stuff today.

Fair play to the Welsh for making a game of it. Just when we thought we'd wrapped it up the Welsh got another try. The clock seemed stuck over those last few minutes.

Apparently everyone hates us at the moment. So be it!

I don't normally support the Scots but I was backing them against the Aussies yesterday.

My other half is Welsh and the household was quite tense this morning. I was almost crying into my post hangover cup of char. Thank god for Jonno. However I cannot see us beating France performing like that when the French were outstanding today.

"No one likes us! No one likes us! No one likes us! We don't care!"

My wife is half-Welsh so she had divided loyalties. This meant she supported Wales in the first half and England in the second! We missed Richard Hill very badly, hopefully he'll recover for Sunday. But fair play to Wales, their mindset has changed. They used to think keeping England to under 50 points was some sort of moral victory but the way they played for 60 minutes against New Zealand gave them hope. Still, we've got to improve 50% to be able to give the French a game.

PS - Also we're ahead of them now 50-49 in games played (dunno how many draws). Anybody who remembers the 70s and the 'Max Boyce' era will be amazed at that fact.

If England play like that against the French they'll get dicked good and proper. Need to rediscover their form and quick.

If only Wales had had a decent kicker..........

Seriously if England play anything like the way they have played so far and France play anything like they've played so far, there will be only one winner. I thought France were awesome against the Irish yesterday. The Irish did ok in the 2nd half by which time the French had their cigars out. I can't believe England almost let the Welsh back into it yesterday after the first 20 mins of the first half. Wilkinson is some kicker but that's it.

I suspect the winner of the England-France game will win the Cup.

What worries me is that England are conceding tries. Wales have played superbly in this tournament but with the greatest respect, if they can score 3 tries against us, what will NZ do, or for that matter France?

Everyone is now saying it's anyone's tournament. However, I'm pleased to honestly believe that the only team I know won't win it is Australia. :lolol:
