On YouTube, a few people (Jake Broe, Mark Biernot) are suggesting that something has happened in Russia. Something that we don't know about. Jake Broe says that the steep fall in the ruble is insiders telling other insiders to get their money out.
But Putin said on TV today that the currency is under control, it’s not a problem and largely due to “seasonal” issues! Almost as laughable as Lt Frank Drebben’s “nothing to see here….”

I didn't know that. You haven't got the clip have you? That would be worth posting on here for pre-match entertainment.

Events are hotting up in Syria, rebels advanced into Aleppo.
Have read that Russian sources are getting concerned if Russia would be able to successfully defend Tartus, their only naval base on the Mediterranean, if rebel momentum continues.
Also Assad is in a Moscow hotel...with his family... I wonder if he's planning to go back 🤔.
I know it's a bit of a side issue, but apparently Russia had already diverted troops etc from Syria to the fight in Ukraine... the 'empire' is getting stretched.

There's movement from Zelensky on the criteria for a ceasefire.

He says he is willing to give up regaining the occupied territories (wait - read on) if he can join Nato.

This may be a clever move as it shows he is willing to flex. However, he knows that Ukraine joining Nato will be a non-runner for Putin.
So unless Putin makes a similar concession (somewhat unlikely), then Putin will be seen to be the bad guy going into the peace talks. Which of course he is.

Like the way Putin says wifes, children are left alone and men only fight with men in decent society. Yet he showed pictures on national media of trumps wife naked!? The irony is incredible!
He also forgets the small point that wives and children are not left alone. They are bombed to bits by his indiscriminate missiles and drones.

Hey, it's the weekend, so why not have some good old-fashioned speculation?

The one thing that gives the following Youtube video a little weight for me, is the assertion that Margarita Simonyan (head of RT) has allegedly claimed that some of the propagandists are not real. They are the product of AI. So why not do the same with Putin? Or is she just being mischievous?

Take a look at the embedded Putin video. The German publication Bild did similar, fast forwarding the video. Putin's tie moved from side to side, but the hands remained completely still for the whole talk. Do they have a point?

This speaker is unorthodox, but look beyond that.

Yes they do. It's unlikely that the video of Putin is entirely genuine. He may have said what was shown, but he didn't do it as shown. There could be any number of reasons why they doctored it.

He did say...' if Russia does not immediately return the occupied territories ' 😉

Last week 2 important under sea communication cables in baltic sea were cut, today, Denmark, one of the biggest and most vocal suporters of Ukraine........ Coincidence? (If this is Putin? are the west going to finally call Article 5 on what are terrorist attacks on NATO member?)

"Denmark's largest mobile phone network is offline, including emergency call options. The Danish railway is also out of service, trains are standing around the country. The causes are still unclear."

Unfortunately Peter, the leaders of the West are a bunch of chickens
Can’t upset Vlad too much can we.

Meanwhile in the Gerogian national broadcaster (equiv BBC).

Our draw at Stains started off the weekend badly for us, but there's a russian fascist holed up in the Kremlin, seemingly having a much worse weekend.

It's all unravelling a bit for that prick in the Kremlin. Ruble going down the pan. Trouble in Syria, trouble in Georgia.
