Yes. But so was the USA alliance in trying to install a pro western government. I was just making the point that the USSR were able to control the country longer.

You said "Russia has a history of beating all opponents facing it."

You're wrong.

Russia has never been impressive militarily, unless you're simply counting the number of nuclear warheads.

This. Russia relies on being big and opposing armies running out of steam by getting too far from their logistical hubs. To be fair to them, it worked well in an era of ground-based warfare. These days it wouldn’t.

And, as far as it's wars against Napoleon and the Nazis (real ones, not made up bullshit ones) are concerned, being paid vast amounts of money and equipment by Britain/America.

What? Throwing men forward against entrenched enemy positions without even a rifle is pure military genius! :lolol:

Dimitry Utkin was on board too, the former security services neo nazi whose call sign is Wagner, and where name comes from. Utkin was the Wagner military commander.

Putin has tried to totally decapitate Wagner, its leader and military commander in one hit.

Just waiting for him to blame the West and operation complete.
Bullseye. How did you know they’d do that! 😉

It’s been confirmed that Utkin, the Wagner co-founder was listed as on board. All 10 bodies listed on the flight have been found. Yet to be identified.

‘Dead by traitors of Russia’ is the Kremlin line.

It was the evil West what done it!

I thought about the Prigozhin faking death theory.

But there are problems with it

  1. He's recognisable, even with plastic surgery, it's going to be hard for him to stay hidden
  2. Would the others on board, including the pilot not have smelt a rat?
  3. Why would Putin entertain doing a complicated disappearance act for Prig and not just kill him? I suppose it could have been engineered by Prig, but it will be hard to pull the wool over Putins eyes. It's on Russian soil, so they will have access to black box, DNA, dental records etc
... but all those wigs need some use 😉

The 2nd world war was basically won on the eastern front. Yes, after France fell Britain survided the Blitz which was intended to to bring it to the peace table.
Hitler didn't want a war on 2 fronts, and that's effectively what happened when the USA joined in.
Yes, the USA, GB gave limited aid to Russia by arctic convoys, which sometimes came under attack by U boats, but was not that significant.
The Battle of Britain has been has been over played in the media, it was just considered as a Luftwaffe offensive in Germany.

Sometimes it’s best to remain silent and be thought of as a fool, than say something and remove all doubt.

If it wasn't for the Atlantic convoys the Russians would've have lost the war. Maybe do some revision and stop belittling what sailors gave their lives for

Quite a lot that is offensive in this post. Where are you getting your opinions from?

The bulk of American (and therefore total allied) support to the USSR was via Persia and the Pacific, not the Arctic convoys. Although the convoys were proportionally more important early on before those other supply lines were established.
T34 tanks were not made in the West.
No, but the 4000+ Shermans, plus other types of tank that contributed a significant portion of Soviet tank strength at certain points, were. Funnily enough those tanks tend not to appear as much in the archive and propaganda footage from the time.
Anyway, getting distracted by arguments about the finer points of Russian and Ukrainian history is exactly what they want us to do (except they'd rather we forget the Ukrainian part).

In what way is it offensive. It's just what I have studied from independent sources.
Maybe how the British conqered India and other parts of the world is someting to look at, as we are usually the good guys?

Cant think of anything to prove my argument wrong, so throw some insults. Fair enogh and some thumbs up for you
Ow, I can…Who’s teaching you such ridiculous over simplification? I mean, I know everyone’s entitled to an opinion and all that, but if that’s your concluding analysis thus far, might I suggest continuing with your studies for a while longer. Good luck with either way.

If WWII had simply been Germany against Russia, Russia would have lost. Russia did play a huge part in defeating Germany, but Germany lost because they were taking everyone on. The only impressive part about Russia's contribution, is just how many humans the leaders were prepared to sacrifice, instead providing any militarily genius.

Who has Russia ever successfully invaded?

I don't disagree with it being their offensive, and our defence - it was the first step of the invasion of Britain. We won it, and they couldn't invade

German troops were not congressing on the French cost at that time due to fear of the British navy, which was still at that time Britania rules the waves

Slightly off-topic.
What's happening with the International Space Station these days?

If memory serves, the only way to get there [and back] was via a Russian rocket - have missions ceased?
Or is there a space exploration pact that keeps this show on the road?
