Not sure if this summary has been posted, I thought it was a good read Logistics Collapse - https://nadinbrzezinski.medium.com/logistics-collapse-945984f5d48e

So many promising points made in this post and this one is my favourite.
”August will be really bad. We will not see new equipment, and there will be nothing and nothing to repair the old one. If the Armed Forces of Ukraine go forward at this moment, then we will have nothing to stop them, ”says another Russian staff officer.

Yup. Heard a good interview with a fella saying that American big guns, with a 40 mile range, have made the difference, surprisingly not Boris Johnson!

The Russian guns only have a range of 15 miles. They are ****ed for the time being.

Well hang on, if there's one thing we know about the Russians is that they will sow disinformation on an industrial scale. Ukraine should be wary

Good point Nobby. We should tread carefully.

Nevertheless, here are two further 'collapse' articles from the same stable. Make of them what you will.

'It’s Starting, the Economic Collapse of Russia.'

https://nadinbrzezinski.medium.com/its-starting-the-economic-collapse-of-russia-553ec4850453

'Decolonization and Imperial Collapse'

https://nadinbrzezinski.medium.com/decolonization-and-imperial-collapse-8e7f01607707

Caveat: this is some random bloke, with a Polish name, claiming to be a historian, living in San Diego, with 134 followers. He may be right and he may be wrong.

But it would seem sensible to be awake to the twin dangers of disinformation and wishful thinking.

Yes, for sure, and I definitely lean towards articles that are painting this war in a favourable light for the Ukrainians. With that said here is today's great Twitter read from someone who has a much much larger following and it is very promising indeed.

Blimey that sounds really promising if the Ruskies are asking for an escape route for their troops in kherson. Good on Ukraine if true that they have refused this request and demand they all surrender

the Antonovsky Bridge east of Kherson has taken some significant damage, not enough to make it impassable but unsafe for heavy traffic. looks like an invitation, leave on foot, or be cut off.

Yes, that was an excellent read, and very heartening.

This is potentially a turning point in the war. All caused seemingly by the deployment of a few modern weapons against the mighty Russian army.

Perhaps they aren't quite as mighty as they want us to believe.

The Ukrainian message is surrender or be annihilated. Boots on the other foot now Vlad!

I see the Russian Foreign Minister is trying to drum up support in Africa, promising to help decolonialise them - an approach which is of course entirely consistent with their decolonisation of Luhansk and Donetsk.

Ukraine has got the hang of the HIMARS now, they put a line of 6 holes 10 yards apart along a line of carriageway. . Would seem very within Ukraine's ability to just pepper pot the other carriageway if and when they want to...

I think they want the Russians to pull out of Kherson while they can otherwise Russia is going to lose an awful lot of men and equipment. ...it could be very similar to the Falaise Pocket in Normandy.

75,000+ Russian troops now killed or wounded according to reports.

Didn't they only start with 120K-130K ?

An astounding rate of loss.

That’s the Ukraine estimate. US intelligence estimates between 15-20k.

I have no idea of the numbers of Russian troops killed or wounded. But I suspect that US intelligence (and covert operations) have played a huge role in the war.

Perhaps so far as saving Ukraine itself.

According to a US politician. The CIA still say 15k dead. Which is still more than 10 years fighting in Afghanistan tbf.

Yes, but a politician who attended a secret (apparently not so secret) briefing.

"“We were informed that more than 75,000 Russians were either killed or injured, which is enormous,” Elissa Slotkin, a Democratic House Representative who previously attended a secret US government briefing told CNN."

Not that secret a briefing

Neither the Kremlin, nor the Pentagon, care about the number of Russian casualties.

It's about slowly disabling the Russian war machine, slowly but inexorably draining Russia of troops, resources and morale, but doing it as slowly as possible, to:

1. Give the sanctions enough time to absolutely cripple the Russian economy.
2. Mitigate the nuclear threat by never forcing Russia into a corner.
3. Showcasing to the world, and especially to Russia's neighbours they have bullied for decades, how useless their military actually are.
4. With 'no US troops on the ground' avoiding another Vietnam.

The Pentagon has got Russia exactly where it wants it. A world pariah, with no trade, no economy, no trust, no power, no credibility, no future.
