How would I get to Rushden? I think it's in Northamptonshire somewhere, but I don't really have much idea.

Where is the nearest station from London, and is it anywhere near the ground.

Thanks sweetie.

I was just wondering whether I could get there after work, but that's a no from the sound of it.

I don't think so honey, get yourself a litre bottle of Becks, a decent video/DVD (suggestion: Bottom series one) and have a nice chilled evening, flicking over at full-time to see the mighty seagulls' glorious victory/creditable draw/brave defeat.

BY CAR:
From the North (M1, M6): Leave M1/M6 at Junction 19 of the M1, where the M6 begins, and follow the A14 eastwards, past Naseby and around Kettering until you reach the junction with the A6 (s/p Kettering, Rushden, Bedford). Follow the A6 towards Rushden and Bedford, around Burton Latimer and Finedon, and join Irthlingborough bypass, still signposted towards Rushden and Bedford. At a roundabout on the bypass you will see a sign to the left reading ‘Nene Park’; the ground should be clearly visible from here.

From the South (M1): Leave at Junction 15 (s/p Northampton A508) and follow signs to Northampton. After approximately 3 miles, turn right at A45 and follow signs to Wellingborough (A45). Keep on A45, travelling east, until you reach the junction with the A6, and turn left (s/p Kettering A6). Cross the river and turn right at the next roundabout into the ground.

From the East (A14): Follow signs to the M1/ M6 and Midlands until you reach the junction with the A45 at Thrapston. Follow the A45 (formerly the A605) southwestwards, following signs for Wellingborough and Northampton until you reach the junction with the A6. Turn right (s/p Kettering A6), over the river, then right at the next roundabout (s/p Nene Park) and the ground will be in front of you.

FROM RAILWAY STATION (Wellingborough):
On foot: It’s around 4-5 miles, so this is likely to be a taxi job if you’re coming by train. There are buses which serve the Irthlingborough area, but they’re ‘very infrequent’, so you’re probably better off with the taxi option. As Wellingborough Station is right on the edge of town, on the Irthlingborough side, it should be quite a straightforward run.

Trains: Run to Bedford and London (St Pancras) in the south and Leicester in the north.

Call (0345) 48 49 50 for further information.

PARKING
There is ample parking adjacent to the stadium.

BARS:
If you want to have a drink before the match, there are several bars around the ground. Visiting supporters have a designated bar situated in the AirWair Stand. Home supporters also have a bar in the AirWair Stand as well as a bar in the North Stand.

Strikers bar is for Members use only.
