.... Now, can anyone name me any broadcaster on the BBC or the American networks who has criticised Nato's desire to move its reach into Ukraine and on to Russia's borders?

No, mostly as NATO has little desire to reach into Ukraine. same with EU that has next to zero appetite to bring them into the club. there's a neat arrangement for Ukraine to be included in NATO maneuvers but it would be a huge risk to become obliged to back Ukraine in face of Russian aggression. they provide a nice buffer.

And its not the place of a news media to "criticise" policy postions anyway. even within those stories it covers, and the point about bias, the BBC doesn't tend to offer a view. yes they select what to report or not, but its really not the same thing as the massive bias some channels exhibit when they pick a story and heavily editorialise on subject. where does this happen in BBC news? it doesnt. granted the beeb does give a view its in the documentary output, where anyone will recognise there's more scope for journalists/production teams views.

Russia Today isn't just biased, it's the dangerous state mouthpiece of the kremlin, which they use to totally brainwash the Russian population.

If they've broken any rules, then Ofcom should suspend their licence.

Well you have a choice BBC, SKY and others. I personally like RT. They do some interesting programmes, it's not all news.

I'll do you one better:

In Ukraine, the US is dragging us towards war with Russia.

Washington's role in Ukraine, and its backing for the regime's neo-Nazis, has huge implications for the rest of the world.

It's worth a read, John Pilger is an excellent journalist.

Fox news by a country mile. The following video is not a parody, it is actually what Fox News does. "bomb them, keep bombing them, bomb them again and again!". Scary that it's the most viewed news channel in the US, but I suppose that's the equivilent of the Daily Mail being the most read paper here.

Thank you for sharing that, it was really quite terrifying, particularly when she said 'keep bombing them' whilst pointing at the camera. If you didn't want Americans to come back with less limbs from that part of the world dont bloody send them there for oil, people generally dont mind tourism but stealing raw materials is a no no.

No, mostly as NATO has little desire to reach into Ukraine

Well, if you could persuade the Russian people of that, there's a chance we might be able to get that 80 per cent approval rating for Putin down a bit, which is that one thing we'd all like to see happening.

What the Russian bloke on the street has seen is two decades of Nato tanks and airplanes moving remorselessly eastwards towards him. Russia's democracy is young and deeply flawed and their politicians mostly reflect that - so shoving a cold war military alliance down their throats might no be the best idea I reckon

You don't think that the coup in Ukraine was assisted by the U.S. because it chose closer ties to Russia over the E.U.?
