Any replies on the Falmer situation also? D-Day is when.....?(subject to another indefinate decision no doubt on the state of some local butterfly colony that's just moved in....)

Help me out here twatty, I'm confused. You are a LO supporter and use this as an excuse to wish us bad tidings? ???

As with all but about 5 of the past 30 years, we're in a higher division than you so I fail to see the relevence.

I reckon well be there or thereabouts for a play off place but dont think we have the squad numbers to really challenge for 1st or 2nd place UNLESS some of the kids really come on this season. Fingers crossed and about time it finally happened for us.

Leon Knight is a proven class act in Div 2 and scored plenty for Huddersfield, size is irrelevant if you have an eye for goal, Michael Owen is a short arse so are you saying youd not like him?

Well finish mid table at absolute worse barring horrific injury probs and even then id still trust Coppell to use his contacts to get us out of the shit.

Im looking in the Bright Side, at least our team is leaps and bound in front of tinpot outfits like Orients that we were on a level pegging with only 4 seasons ago.

I am an LOFC fan and dont like brighton much due to an incident many years ago when my son was attacked by some of your 'fans'. Crystal?

I go into every season full of hope. There's 8 months to be depressed so why start off being worried. There's absolutely nothing any of us can do about it anyway:glare:

Leon Knight will be as good as Barrett was bad.

Agreed the defence is ok but Knight junior hasn't got too much pedigree and who else is going in to replace the rest of the front line we've just lost. By the way my Mr Barnet FC snout who's a personal friend of their chairman has confirmed we did make Agogo (before B.Rovers snapped him up for £75k) an offer but it was subject to money from any BZ transfer. Damn, because 3 weeks later Spurs came in with the great bobby robbery......

I spoke to a Barnet fan about Agogo at the recent Weymouth vs Barnet friendly, - he thought he wouldn't cut it in Div 3 (let alone div 2) - might score 1 or 2 at the most!!!

The public inquiry resumes in October for a brief period to discuss the coach park/interchange then the inquiry's recommendations will go to Prescott for the final decsion probably before the end of the year

Well that's what I last heard anyway

.

Depends if we keep the ball on the ground I guess. If we do that Leon will run rings round the tall donkey defenders in div 2

Leon may be short but he is excellent at headers. Huddersfield fans I have spoken to say he needs to play on the right wing.

If he is played in the centre he doesn't score as much but on the wing he can score loads

I'm not too optimistic about the new season at present.

Sign a couple of strikers and a winger and maybe we'll make the play-offs.With our current attacking options I reckon we'll finish mid-table, well clear of relegation but not threatening the promotion pack.

i remember knight playing for huddersfield at the withdean during our last visit to div 2, i thought he was quite a dirty player always getting the trip and knocks in. looks like he could be a very useful asset.

No Barrett or Kitson, all I can say is thank f**k for small mercies.

Last season I saw Kitson play about 45 minutes in ALL 28 odd games I went to. No great loss I say. Barret looked worse the more the season progressed.

Would have liked to have kept Ingimarrson but I guess you'd want a crack at the premiership given a chance.

Personally I think we will see some of the youngsters come good this season, particularly Hinshlewood jnr. and Marney.

Perhaps Harty should be given his striking boots back.

Personally I can't wait !

Shut up Twatford you prick!

Knight will frighten defenders if he gets the ball on the ground. Considering he had only just met the players he played OK on Saturday. He got bit confused with the runs that McPhee was making a few times but on the whole, he looked promising.

We really need Danny to be fit at the back. Guy Butters looks as if he's spent the whole summer eating deep-fried Mars bars.

We have enough class to challenge for the top, it's whether we get that bit of luck that all teams need to push on. I am confident that Steve Coppell will bring in a couple more people before the start of the season to give us more reasons to be confident.

By the way Twatty, we are 46 games away from the First Division, you are 46 games away from The Conference.

Guy Butters is an absolute wanker in my opinion, hes had the chance to lose the weight and really help us out as he obviously has some talent but is too fat to utilise it and has made no effort to sort himself out.

Hes also probably up there with the top earners in the squad. Fat ****!

Hiney, you dont play 46 games in the 1st division. Only goes to further highlight your point I know but you were wrong nevertheless.

WHat a bollocks thread.
We're going up as champions. Our central midfield is absolute class and we work harder as a team than most others. We have a top-drawer centre back, full-backs who have been dominant in this division before and two keepers who should be playing at a higher level. Leon Knight is a quality striker that just needs to find his feet again. We'll get at least one other front man in with a track record and we'll be firing. Bobby did all the scoring before, so now we get a potent partnership instead.

Now, i'm one of life's proud pessimists, but this is getting dull.
