Rotherham is one of those unexpectedly good away trips. I went last season. Expected the place to be a complete dump. Was mightily surprised (pleasantly so) to discover that it wasn't.
Town wasn't nearly as crap as I expected (despite the staggering number of clinically obese people we sighted in the town centre). Some very enjoyable pubs. And the ground is considerably better than other small "new" stadiums like Chesterfield, Northampton, Shrewsbury, etc. Nice design, good facilities.
Well worth a trip if you can do it. I wish I could.
