That smells like total bullshit to me. McCormack is in the last year of his contract, so will be worth no where near that. And west sham already have 56 championship strikers...

If West Ham do in fact continue to splash out on strikers, as it seems they're going to do, they've got some that may interest Gus.
Nicky Maynard (possibly wages an issue), or more notably Sam Baldock, probably won't get much of a look in with Cole, Carew, Vaz Te and seemingly one other to come in at least.

What is it with you and Ross McCormack !?! I think it's very unlikely that he'll come to us. He's probably on over 10k a week as it is and considering contract talks broke down due to them not offering him enough then I think it's unlikely that we'll be offering him a contract.
