Anyone know if the show home is open yet? I like having a nose around new developments. Never have any intention of buying and usually leave the place thinking how nice the houses are, but for that price? You must be joking

ropetackle has been a contentious nightmare for years . . .

Bring back the Kings Head !!!

theyre buil;ding a multistorey coffin dodgers hotel opposite our pad . . . .last thing we need is more old gits hobbling around !

still, theres plenty of building materials laying around at the moment :lolol: and a massive crane or 2 as well !

i thought this was going to be another suggested site for the stadium, along with preston park

surely it would be a fine place to have a stadium

If the place burns down whilst you are there, I will congratulate you !

This is the work of SEEDA.

Only for a single tennis or squash court. Way too small for football and crucially not in Brighton

Pende is the place they are using as a dumping ground on the other side of the river.

There is a catch about dumping grounds though. In order to qualify for tax exemptions on the dumping (so they do not have pay landfill tax) is that they have to build sporting facilities as the end product.

This is what gives it the clear edge as a second choice site after Falmer. That is apart from the fact it is four times the size of the new Arsenal site, about the size of Waterhall and Toad's Hole put together, next to a railway line and a main road with nothing to demolish.

Not an AONB and in the Local Plan for leisure and tourism.

A half a mile from the nearest house and that includes all the access roads as well.

Roughly translated that means, we could bung in Planning Permission, negotiate the land deals (two owners), and start building early next year.

Furthermore, we could probably bung up a temporary ground for next season.

Parcel Force (closed now) is by the Surry Yard (where I used to live) next to Sussex Yacht Club on the coast road; first traffic jam past the Civic Centre.

Southdown Road is where the more select residents of the fantastic town of Shoreham live (well it is now !)

or at least until I can afford to move somewhere better :lolol:

under the bridge from the community centre crabbers, head north towards the 'south downs'I'm thinking about climbing up the crane for a birds eye view of the neighbourhood
