Rooney's goal did take great skill though, as it wasn't off the deck.

it wasn't skill it was more luck than anything else.
The keeper was too far out and lost his bearings and fell over.

It's the problem with football in Australia, like all sports fans in Australia, they are very fickle. If the team is losing, the fans just won't show.
