I think the guy (Sean) put on a bespoke tour for us that fitted in with the bus service he was running for us to the game.

As @dazzer6666 said though - the structure of the route and all the information shared via the wireless earpieces was far beyond what I'd have learned on a general solo mooch about.

I'd drop them a line via their website and just say you're looking for a walking tour of the main sites.

Maybe do that one day - maybe the afternoon when you arrive - and then do your own thing on day 2 - selecting anything from day 1 you want a closer look at and/or do the paid entry for the Colosseum.
I used this one….very well organised and the guide was absolutely fabulous.

If you want to do either the Vatican or Colloseum I'd strongly advise booking tickets before you go. The queues are massive otherwise. Vatican is like Disney for religious people and takes half a day to get round so is probably a bit ambitious in your timeframe.

Colloseum is well worth seeing.

I actually really liked the Trastevere area, pretty relaxed and nice bars etc, should’ve stayed there on Wednesday night.
Do you want us to take something to his restaurant? We'll do it during the day though!!

This may sound like a very stupid question but if we use the on line check in, what time should we be at the airport?

@Iggle Piggle very kindly took a bundle of Albion and Brighton goodies with him that I'd bought with funds left over from the money we raised to help out @jackalbion and friend, but I'm sure it would be lovely if other Albion fans popped by to say hello and/or left a small Albion gift!

I didn't do the tour with you all (Rome is a city I've been to 5 times now) but everybody i know who did has raved about it.

He sorted a great restaurant too!
It was excellent … not forgetting the guaranteed seat on a coach to and from the game.

I was thinking of the bobble hat my son got in his membership pack. Obviously it's unused & is very light to carry! 😁

There’s loads to do & see as people have said. I agree that staying central especially if you’re not going for a longer time means your not losing precious time travelling unnecessarily.

I’ve been a few times and stay in the historic center, halfway between Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. Lots of hotels there, many small & ‘boutique’ with friendly staff. You can walk almost everywhere. Enjoy.
