Season long loan, effectively he has left as only a year left on his contract I think.

Be interesting to see how he gets on as we never realy saw anything of him.

It's a shame he never really got a chance, I know the Dutch Premier isn't highly rated but it's still an achievement to be playing at that level. He came on at 0-0 I see, and Twente (McLaren's lot!) won with a last minute penalty. They were Champions only a couple of years ago.

I wonder how long it will be until someone bumps the "Bergkamp wasn't Gus' signing" thread.

I think it shows how weak the Dutch league set-up is. I watch Ajax fairly often and it is very much like Scotland & Celtic where there are a very few big games and the majority are like training ground run outs - the gulf is massive
