Watching the game in France with French commentary and they just referred to Hoolahan as the Irish Lionel Messi, I know he's a decent player but that comparison is a bit of a stretch ;-)

Wasn't expecting to go through, so still relatively happy with that. Refereeing was extremely poor for the past quality of the ref and both sides benefited (and lost) from it at times.

I think Roy Keane saying to take a red for the team if necessary was the incentive in having the player sent off.

Are there any instances when taking a red is really helpful to your team mates?

Fortunately I didn't take it but did take 10/3 on France when they were losing
That's what I went for, and I missed out as they scored while I was having to prove bank details (no idea why, they've never asked before).
