Liddle isn't racist , he just tells it like it is without any of the ridiculous patronisation of most other journalists , lets be frank , if you mention blacks Or Asians in a sentence without also adding the words "majority , law abiding, hard working" there are people who will accuse you of racism.

Starting to feel a little sorry for the bloke now: An endorsement from Bushy isn't far off being given 'thumbs up' by Nick Griffin or the vote of confidence by Robert Mugabe.

Actually I thought it was quite funny, but many on NSC are so touchy and precious that they can't bear it if anyone takes the gentle piss out of them!

Partly agree with you and polemical journos have to exaggerate to make a point. Anyway, there are a lot of right on bo-bo types in Brighton these days and B&HCC deserves to be ridiculed on some issues. Rod Liddle hangs out in Dorset rather than New Cross Gate and does watch the Lions.

Still the funniest writer in the Sunday Times (not that that's too difficult since Clarkson is the main competition) and has always been positive about the Albion in his column in the sports section, not that it excuses anything.

Liddle is like A.N. Wilson and Littlejohn in that he says things in order to create controversy. Whether he means them or not is irrelevant - it's just to promote debates(!) like this one.

Others may disagree but I think it's hypocritical because he's abusing his position as a journo by using his own column to put forward an opinion he may not believe in.

In the very same paper he defends John Terry not shaking David Bernstein's hand and blames the whole saga on The FA. Oh, and he lays most of the blame for the fighting at Wembley on the FA for having a late kick off.

Knobber.
