Deviant at The Engine Room every friday and Classic Rock every third saturday of the month at the same venue are still running. There are also The Hobgoblin and Caroline of Brunswick offering a loud choice of music.

Brighton Rocks has moved to the Komedia and as has already been said the engine rooms is the only permanant club but the Caroline of Brunswick & hobgoblin are both rock orientated establishments

The Classic Rock at The Engine Room used to run from 10pm. to 2am., like a lot of clubs. Since the licensing laws have been relaxed, it's advertised as being 11pm. to 3am., but the greedy bastards at The ER tend to book a band in earlier in the evening, so the Classic Rock doesn't get started to about 11.30pm., which is too late for geriatric moi
