Anyone else watching for the nostalgia? And just good fun metal on metal scrapping?

Myself and a few mates from school were going to enter this back in the late 90's; we got as far as cutting out some metal sheets from an old washing machine and buying a few bits from the local scrapyard before we came to the realisation that none of us had an ounce of knowledge on how to make a robot actually work

I enjoyed the light weight robots when watching it live, about 20 or so of them in a battle royale
