Saw this and thought some of you might be interested:
Football is a simple game (Gary Lineker), nonetheless it can teach you everything you need to know about morality and obligations (Albert Camus). We want to apply that to the future of UK-German relations.
Join us for this two part discussion: in a plenary round, four guests including Shadow Sports Minister Alison McGovern MP will discuss what football can tell us about UK-German relations, what we can learn from each other, and how cooperation might expand. We will then break into virtual groups to discuss some of these questions further.
This event is hosted by Aston Centre for Europe, a research centre based at Aston University in Birmingham, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation London office, a Social Democratic German political foundation.
