A truly funny comedian. It must be nearly 20 years ago that I read his book 'It's what he would've wanted'. A deep, dark, thought provoking book often punctuated with witty humour and laugh out loud moments. RIP Sean.

he wasn't born in Ireland, maybe that's why, but just a guess

He was raised in Ireland though. Hence the accent.

Can't find why he supported CPFC, but just read that he acquired an Irish accent to avoid getting beaten up at school and that his real name was John
Maybe he should have just stopped supporting a horrible abomination of a football club to avoid being beaten up instead.

Must admit, I never knew he was Palace and I always found him to be pretty funny and seemed a decent bloke. RIP.

I don't know why he chose Palace but I can tell you that Sean is Irish for John and is interchangeable. Primary school age kids quickly pick-up the local accent when they are moved to another part of the world. I know I did.
