Read Wasp Factory years ago and to be honest did not like, bonkers sadism. Got bored by Crow Road as a polemic against religious cults. That said, I think his Si-Fi stuff was brilliant. Started from The Bridge which was zany and absorbing; really would like to read his other books as Feersum Engine (about a nano robot) was fantastic, one of my favourites, very clever and funny.
