Apologies if fixtures but according to talksport this morning rio is leading a breakaway PFA for black players with reports saying they have already drafted a constitution

This is ridiculous how can you criticise a campaign that promotes inclusion and then promote another that champions division?

If you ever needed proof that footballers are thick look no further than Rio Ferdinand

This situation is spiralling into the ridiculous

Thoughts of NSC will this happen??!!

It won't and can't happen.

It may turn into some kind of racism support group but it can't be a PFA just for black players. That wouldn't be allowed to happen.

Someone recently charged for making/publicising a racist comment, making an anti-racist splinter group? Couldn't make it up.

The sooner this total dinlo retires from football the better

Completley defies the aim on all inclusivity. It also suggests that racism is only a one way thing. For example (Mr. Ferdinand et al take note) I read an article the other day about the use of the term 'Choc-ice' which plays on the assumption that black culture is cool, swag and image-conscious while white culture is more nerdy and less image aware. Racist?

They have a good point. Mark McCammon had to fund his own legal team to fight Gillingham on his racism claim recently, so be interesting to see how that pans out, and why the PFA did not represent him?

Do you think it was specifically because he was black or that they thought that this "strikers" claim was without merit ?

Who knows. But must be pretty bad for a player to win a racism claim against his own club, and not be backed or represented by the PFA. Infact I do not even remember seeing the PFA comment on it? Maybe they are too scared to tackle racism.

I heard yesterday that Kick it Out only has a budget of approx £500,000 which sounds incredibly low in this age of football.

Surely Roberts, Rio and all other players, black and white, would be better served putting some of their vast wealth and time into the organisation to give it a louder voice rather than creating a new, potentially very divisive association.

That they thought his claim was without merit.

So even worse then, the PFA decide that, but he goes on anyway into a court and wins.

why ? there is a black police association.

Fair enough. They are perfectly at liberty to esablish an association, promoting the rights of black players. I think they are NOT at liberty though, to limit membership just to black members. Do you think that is correct? (I don't know - I'm surmising)

Rio could set it up, then John Terry could immediately apply to join :clap2:

This!!

The Premier League donate 0.01% of their TV deal to Kick it out.

Why are the shirts not signed and auctioned? How about a charity game with some of the big earners

These guys earn big bucks and have plenty of time, they should support their own organisation better.

That they thought his claim was without merit.

It had enough merit to win though didn't it? Given some of the other nonsense and player cases the PFA have backed it makes you wonder why they didn't and I can totally understand why he might have felt let down. Maybe Taylor was too busy defending Joey Barton again?
