Terrible news, Lord Flasheart was one of the greatest comic creations of all time. He had that quad bike accident a few years back, and he pulled through then, hope it was nothing to do with that :(

Not to mention Alan B'stard. If only he'd come up with someone like that in this day and age!!!

RIP

One of my comedy heroes, from Kevin Turvey onwards. Like Graham Chapman, there was always something genuinely mental about him. Saw him do stand-up a few times too and he managed to make his comedy work in big theatres, which I hadn't expected.

Really sad about this.

His house will become a shrine, and punks and skins and rastas will all gather round and hold their hands in sorrow for their fallen leader.

And all the grown-ups will say, "But why are the kids crying?" And the kids will say, "Haven't you heard? Rick is dead! The People's Poet is dead!"

And then one particularly sensitive and articulate teenager will say, "Other kids, do you understand nothing? How can Rick be dead when we still have his poems?"
