I remember seeing scoring a towering header away at Peterborough. Very good in the air and had a good partnership with Gary Hart.
I always remember running into him on Tuesday night student night in The Event in 1998.

Richie Barker lodged with a chap who worked for FotoDirect, a printing firm near the old Argus printing works.
One fine Gillingham day, FotoDirect sponsored a match. Richie's landlord represented the company. Richie had a nightmare and was substituted very early. Later, the sponsor's representative was asked to nominate the MoM. Naturally, he chose Richie. The club, quite reasonably, was rather cross and, just that once, no mention of the award was made in the following programme.
Wonderful ramshackle days.

seem to remember him always being at Macclesfield at the start of CM4.

He was playing for them when I first went to Macclesfield. I seem to recall some good banter with him during the game.
