In fairness though, Revell has rarely (if ever) shown the kind of clinical finishing he showed today. Hopefully he can keep that level of performance up - specially when you consider the subsequent goalscoring record of the last player who got a hattrick for us...

I just thought Alex and Nicky were really showing a good understanding, their runs and lay-offs were actually linking up. It was a proper partnership. I never got that feeling watching Forster and Savage play together.

Alex certainly shoved my words down my throat today, and I feel suitably embarrassed. Let's hope he continues to play like that in the weeks ahead. I never thought that he had such clinical finishing in him and it was a delight to see.

1 Swallow does not make a summer, yes he did well, but insufficient praise is given to Forster for making his first 2 goals so easy, that even my mother who is 88 and blind could have scored them.
