High up on the South Downs.
I think it is a waste of time to engage with people like Angela Rowland who resent other people's enthusiasms or the absurd Catholic chaplain (at the uni built in a beautiful downland valley in the 60s).

"I think the planning inspectors are best-placed to decide and I for one am willing to abide by their recommendation. Let's hear what their final report says"

Bet the Rev Rob Esdaile won't accept the decision if it says Falmer!

As an asiside I know regular supporters in Coldean will clearly walk to Falmer. I remember as a kid walking from Portslade to the Goldstone & back again as no doubt did everybody else - look at the car parking there was there.
I used to walk from Brighton Station to the Goldstone, stopping for refreshments on the way at the Belle View, The Palmeira??? and The Albion.:drink: :drink: :drink:

I find it funny that people write into the Argus with only half the facts and tunnel vision. On match days there will be park and ride sites around the city, buses will transit these people from there, to and from the stadium. There is a train station near the ground. A lot of fans who live 15-20 minutes away will walk there ( I used to occassionally walk from all the way from Whitehawk to the Goldstone if I only had enough bus fare for one journey and admission to the ground). What about all the positives a new stadium will bring in terms of media interest, jobs , investment in the local community, image etc etc.
