Has anyone else had a response from the Lib Dem hierarchy ?

I have just had an email from Vincent Cable (Shadow Chancellor and MP for Twickenham) in response to one of the many emails / letters that I sent the Lib Dem Shadow cabinet.

"Thank you for your email. Sorry I am aware of the controversy but this is not an issue I can sensibly become involved in, knowing next to nothing about the issue and having no constituency responsibility.
Yours sincerely
Vincent Cable "

Obviously I wasn't expecting him - or any of his colleagues to actually DO ANYTHING, but I was interested to hear him admit he knows of the controversy. I wonder if Ming has sent the boys round to Veggie's ?

I contacted Simon Hughes and Mark Oaten when the leadership race began but both of them basically referred me to Norman Baker saying that it was a constituency matter.

That's good. It'll look all the better when there's 30,000 Albion fans marching on their crummy conference. Only one name in the frame then. Poor ol' Norman. Clock's ticking to the end of his career :D

This is what I got from Vince Cable back in December:

Thank you for your email. I am not in a position to evaluate complex planning issues in a constituency far away from my own. If the position is as you describe the Council will no doubt pay a high political price.
Yours sincerely
Vincent Cable

They both seemed quite interested in visiting the Falmer site until I explained AONB did NOT stand for Anal Orgy Near Brighton...

Same here.

He has, no doubt, had loads of mail since his victory but you'd think one of the LibDumb minnions would have fired off some old shit to acknowledge our effort to contact their new Generalisimo!

Clearly shows that they don't give a stuff what their representatives in Sussex are doing to their reputation (if they have one of value these days).
