Reserves won 4-1 at Ringmer after extra-time, to reach round 3 of the Sussex Senior Cup. Goals by Shaun Wilkinson, John Piercy, Jake Robinson and Danny Marney.

Marney should have scored 5 but missed a series of sitters. Dan Harding and Matt Piper impressed as full-backs, but Jake was different class - scored 1, made 1 with a brilliant run and, but for the bad finishing, would have made a couple of others.

No, dont think so, I was standing beside Wilkins and Booker and didn't see him.

It was a fantastic game, I thought Ringmer deserve credit for putting up a great fight (not for their constant fouling tho !) and were a bit unlucky not to get a penalty 15 minutes before the end, which saw their captain get sent off for a handbags stylee shove on the ref !!

Agree, Jake was pure class and withstood some crunching tackles, totally changed the game when he came on at the start of the second half, just a shame so many sitters were missed .

Pethick looked pretty solid too.
Anyone else think Piercy was decidedly poor even at this level ?
A loan spell beckons for him me thinks.
