Just back from the game:

-> Considerably more enjoyable than the three first team home matches put together, with fast passing football

-> Royce, Loft and Fraser all controlled the ball very well, Fraser having a couple of good chances

-> Defence solid, only one easy save for Sullivan

-> One small fight after palace player continually fouls our player from behind. The ref then talks to our player and not the Palace one.

A good experience all-in-all, surprised the crowd was so small. Dick Knight and Micky Adams in attendance.

Any of them worthy of a start on Saturday then?

Dan Royce and Doug Loft played well in midfield. El-Abd looked in good condition too and also played well.

Whole team played palace off the pitch, fought for the ball, Royce looked great on the wing, defence solid, Loft and Fraser bossed midfield and Hart and Dixon held the ball up well, Royce scored great goal look forward to seeing it on seagulls world.

We played really well second half. Arguably Palace had the better individuals but we fought and passed as a team. Last 30 minutes Loft and Fraser bossed the midfield. Very encouraging and always great to thrash the scum!

Think I would start Fraser, Loft and El-Abd, and give Royce a chance on the bench... How old is he?

Having said that, it's an away match so we'll play well anyway, maybe start them at the next Withdean match!

Brighton won 3v0.

Pretty rubbish game. Good to see El Abd back and had a decent enough run out against Shefki Kuqi.

I though Fraser, Royce and Cook looked good for the albion although Cook should have been sent off (I think it was him) for a horrendous tackle on a palace player quite near the end.

Brighton had to have their team talk in the dug out because Robinson was still getting treated despite coming off in about the fifth minute. He was then stretchered off to hospital just before the start of the second half.

Went off looking very groggy and holding his head. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a broken cheek or jaw or something.

Loft tried very hard but lacked a little bit of quality but ver wet conditions and a scrappy game.

Hart and Dixon? Tried hard but neither showed any indication they would challenge Murray or Forster. Of the two Dixon had a bit more about him. Can't recall Hart beating his man or having a shot.

Sullivan looked solid in goal.

Rubbish? Scrappy? Where on Earth were you?!?!?!?

For a reserve match the quality of the football was EXCELLENT and the pace was fast.
