Reserves tonight....

Drew 1-1 with Colchester at Woodside Road. Colchester scored first with Albions equaliser coming half way through the second half. No idea who scored as I only saw the last 20 minutes. In that short time Jake Robinson looked quality. Mahetta didn't! The other person to catch the eye was Chris May. His handling and comand of his area looked really sound. He dealt with a couple of tricky shots like an old pro. I can see why the coaching staff have faith in him.

Does this make Ben Roberts redundant?.

I mean, if the boy May is good, and by good, I mean good enough to cover for the firsts, do we need 3 keepers?

I suppose the risk is is FDM or May get injured - but them maybe a loan could be bought in for cover.

Saves more wages?

I think the Roberts question is going to answer itself, despite the Pollyanna reports coming out of Seagulls World.

Ben is regularly seeing a specialist in London and is confident of making a return before the end of the season.
His injury is making good progress and the specialist he has been seeing is very positive he knows the reasons Ben's been getting problems.
The things Ben has to do are very slight but should make a big difference.

Well, anyone who has a Seagulls World subscription can see he's been filling his time usefully by becoming an Avid Merrion lookalike, even with that white thing around his neck
