McPhee got the first two, the second a great lob. Didn't see the third as I left with 10 to go. Big Mac didn't get on.

CKR didn't start in the end, I heard he was late getting there, but that may not be true.

Doug Loft looked very good, composed, great touch and good engine. He went off just before half time, but I'm not sure why. Chris Breach also went off with a knock to his hip at the same time as Loft. CKR came on for Nicolas midway through the first half.

Hinsh and Nicolas still look a couple of games short, Hinsh especially. Loft looks good and may be pushing Hammond for a first team place soon.

Don't forget Hinsh and Nicolas have been injured for ages, need to get match fit.

They are not so good now as we play lesser teams. I used to go as a kid when we played in the football combination against the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal.

I saw players like Ian Wright, Matt Le Tissier, Kev Campbell, Andy Cole and Glenn Hoddle play against us in the reserves, and we used to get 500-1,000 hundred turn up at the Goldstone. Quid to get in, free at half time!

It must be great watching Chelsea reserves!

I once saw Brighton Res vs Tottenham Res at The Goldstone and every player in the Spurs side had played for his country at full international level. We lost 3 - 1 but great days.

I know, that's why I said they look a couple of games short of full fitness.

Who writes the report for that NewsNow thing? Virtually no mention of the goals and it's main theme being that Jake Robinson gave the Millwall defence "a torrid time". Personally I thought he was pretty dismal in the first half, poor first touch and did very little apart from the shot their keeper had to tip over. Second half he wasn't a great deal better. He was playing wide right though.

Pleased to hear Nicolas played well too (offy site).

It would be great to see McPhee come thgrough with some first team goals and establish himself. From what I've seen so far that appears unlikely despite last nights hat trick but I would just love to be proven wrong.

He is 22 so its really now or never for him with the Albion.
