Previously you would have had to wear a smoking jacket but alas no more since the advent of a smoke free stadium. So during the grouse shooting season one must wear ones hunting jacket

well mate you wouldnt have seen my dad (stood on the east), grandad (stood on the east) or great grandad (believed to have stood on the east) wear a team shirt (thank god) and you wont see me wear one either (well not now that Im an adult). Football shirts are for playing football or for kids. Its so unnecessary and there no class about it.

Fair enough if that's your opinion, but personally I don't have a problem with it, and quite enjoy wearing my team's colours. And I'm not so sure whether people usually consider how classy they look when they go to a footy match.

The replica shirts are tat since the Skint was removed from the actual shirt to a transfer so I can see the point of not wanting people wearing tat.

Should be Prada or Armani only

Getting back on topic..... we were told at our presentation no replica shirts in the 1901 club but you could wear items such as polo shirts or hoodies that had the emblem.

It would seem very perverse to ban the home shirt surely. As I say the only comment in the agreement you sign is no away colours.

The correct dress is:

Black Tie (Evening Games)
Lounge Suit or Linen Suit (Weekends)
The Life President & Board have decreed that Gentlemen may remove their ties for the last game of the season.

Brown suits are ONLY acceptable for Friday evening kick-offs.

Whatever next! Gentlemen wearing BROWN shoes?

Well technically you would be able to do that as you would not be in town. For as any self respecting dapper dan knows, one should never wear brown in town.

On another note, if we have a Friday evening fixture, will it be a "dress down Friday" where you are allowed to sport a neatly pressed pair of chinos (with optional sweater tied around the neck for the chillier months)?

I was told that there were no replica shirts permitted, no ripped jeans and no shorts - this was back last April when news of the 1901 Club first came out

I agree really. Particularly if you are fat!!! Still don't think they should be formerly banned.

Niether do I

Ladies dress code is:

A hat or substantial fascinator.
Strapless, off-the-shoulder, halter-neck dresses and any with a strap less than one inch are banned.
Skirts and dresses must be no more than two inches above the knee.
Trouser suits must be full-length and of matching material and colour.
Midriffs must be covered.
Bare legs are frowned upon.

I'll not bring this up with Superwife, an occasional pink ladies replica shirt is far cheaper than all that nonsense.

I went to a normal STH presentation a couple of weeks back and spoke to a guy I recognised from the 1901 sales team and asked him if a decision had been made regarding replica tops in the 1901 and he said that they would be allowed. As Giraffe says lets see if we can get a formal answer from the club.
