When I was getting the GDC flag sorted I got quotes from 3 firms and this lot came in cheaper by nearly £100 and Darren the guy up there did a decent job.

It's a brilliant idea is a Giant Flag. But I really can't see the the practicalities of actually having one being other than the nightmare it was before. A nightmare made all the more complicated by the move to Falmer.

So if peeps really want a Giant Flag, might it be better to revisit the whole idea when we've got a new stadium? Only it'd be a deal easier to sort the storage arrangements!

40-60 people? yer right

I assume that means a crowd of 40-60 is required to hold it above their heads?

The flag always looked much heavier than other giant flags, like it was made out of a heavy canvas whereas others were lightweight, parachute like material.

Why not go for the streamer type approcah, seen elswhere, mostly abroad, where you have long thin streamers, say 1m wide, 10-20m long, blue ones and white ones, then effectivly create blue and white stripes running top to bottom of the stands.
