Wolves and Brentford (especially if Frank goes to Spurs) seem the obvious ones at threat if one of the promoted teams get their act together but only because they have lost good players and the assumption will be they don't buy as well. but we've managed that transition well for several seasons so who is to say they can't.

If Potter starts badly West Ham may pull the trigger too early and find themselves in a mess of their own making?

Also worth factoring in, if Palace are excluded from Europe will they lose talent too? It’s not like it’s going to get much better there, and their stock as players might not be higher. Certainly if I were the agent of Eze and Wharton in that scenario I’d be sniffing out a move.

Just to add to the already considerable levels of hilarity that there would be under such a circumstance

Players don't sign for you or stay with you because you're in the Europa League if there are Champions League offers there. If they get good offers, they'll go regardless of Palace being in the EL. Unless the club clings on to them like they did with Zaha and ruins their careers.

For what it's worth, I think they'll get another season out of Wharton just like we will out of Baleba. He'll be expensive and the only reason a big club might try this summer is because of the risk of him being £100m rated by the following year. Eze is a different kettle of fish as he has a release clause in his contract and there have been rumours of Bayern sniffing around. Not sure he's quite that good myself but you'd think he'd be up for that if the offer comes in.

I'm going with Sunderland, Sheffield Utd & Wolves . Also think Forest will struggle this season

Whilst I reckon it will likely be the 3 promoted teams that will go down, it could be any from 3 from 14 clubs.

Many clubs are capable of a bad season.

Please God.
Why would we give up our guaranteed 6 points a season against Man Utd? Is there anything to be said for substituting in Leeds?
