Put me down as a yes then.Sure
Put me down as a yes then.Sure
We? Are you suggesting Albion might be the losersIs the final played at Wembley, and will we have to do a guard of honour for the winners ?
Mmmmm.....Wet Sham,
Bumley
Sunderland.
Works in Scotland and non league (I believe). Was having a discussion in the pub yesterday afternoon with a Sunderland supporting colleague. He fully expects it to be the three that come up going down again and it's hard to not agree with that. The gulf between the prem and championship is getting bigger as each year goes by.
Is it time we mix up how relegation works and introduce relegation play offs? Something like bottom two go down automatically then the next four teams go into a play off, semi and then final....Loser goes down? Thoughts?
I have a feeling Burnley may surprise people this time.
Last time round they played pretty football but didn't have the players to execute this at the top level.
This time, they are built on a solid defence and that will give them a better chance of survival - a bit like our Hughton years
I'm sure @dsr-burnley will give us an honest view on this rather than a claret tinted one.
Leeds
Burnley
Sunderland

People said the same thing about us when we went up.Absolutely no chance of Palace going down, even if they do lose a couple (Guehi & Eze would appear to be the most likely for contractual reasons).
Sadly, I doubt Man United will be quite so bad again, though it would be delightful if they were.
Sunderland, Burnley and The Leeds United have squads full of Championship players. The latter two both have managers with the knack of getting teams with already strong squads promoted from the Championship but also of getting them relegated immediately afterwards. It’s hard to see that changing. Parker might have made Burnley defensively strong against QPR, Cardiff and Hull, but I can’t see for one second that will continue in the PL, and nor are they going to score many goals, which is not an ideal combination. Plus Trafford is probably going to end up at Newcastle.
Ipswich went hard with a net spend of £125m on transfer fees this season but it did not make a lot of difference. They just weren’t as bad as Southampton and Leicester.Realistically who knows but an argument could be made that Sunderland and Leeds will probably go hard in the transfer market to maintain their Premier League status so I'm going:
Wolves
West Ham(or Palace depending on the European toils and injuries)
Burnley
