I don't think even London Irish could say that Charlie played well today.

Nope. They were utter garbage, and deserved to be taken off. It'll be very worrying if either starts the next game.

At least Reid was up against Huckerby, a class winger. Mayo was repeatedly owned by Dean Marney, a good combative midfielder, but hardly noted for his speed and lightening wing play.

Chippy should be back for Cardiff - Nicolas must surely be promoted to understudy now.

Shame Harty wasn't on at the beginning because as soon as he put in a couple of meaty challenges on Huckerby his head went down and he lost interest. Huckerby is one of those players that if everything is going right he'll play to the best of his ability if it isn't going his way then his head seems to drop.

Not a good team performance but Gary Hart was great as was Henderson in goal (apart from 1 flap). He made 2 outstanding saves. Frutos looked useful annd Jake frightened the life out of the back 4 when he came on. So still some positives to take from the game and we were playing an ex premiership team and it showed.
The old saying "keep your shape" as a team was demonstrated superbly by Norwich. Their back 4 moved in and out in a line as if they were guardsmen trooping the colour anf they knew who to mark. I could not understand our long ball tactics against 2 tall central defenders. We rarely got the ball and just set up Norwich for an immediate attack.
We would have done well to draw so not too downhearted with this one.

Possibly time for Rents to be given a chance at left back.

Has he recovered from his injury?

People always bang on about Mayo's 10year loyalty to us, but in all honesty, what other club at this level would he have made it at? ???

Thanks for the service in the lower leagues Kerry, but it's obvious you're playing above your level. Time to move to pastures new i'm afraid

I'm pretty sure he has been playing for the reserves for a while.

Mayo has served us well while we were a basement club doing nothing. But now we're starting to look forward at last. I think Dick Knight has been fair enough to keep him as long as he has. A testimonial year is a big thank you from everyone, but lets not kid ourselves that Kerry can play in this league.
