As someone who has drifted away from the club over the last few years (last game paly offs in Cardiff I afraid) yesterday gave me a chance to take my boy (6) to his first game and for me to see the mighty seagulls again. I have to say the day was fantastic. The support I witnessed was fantastic and it was great to see the turbulant years have not diminished the spirit. I want to congratulate everyone who made the trip and sung there hearts out to make for a great atmosphere. I was also pleasantly surprised at the football we played, I don't recall seeing passing moves like that even back in the glory years. Looks like Poyet is doing a great job. What topped it off for me was seeing hundreads of Brighton fans in coaches buses and minibuses decending on the motorway services and the Palace contigent turning up on a motorbike. Only downside what the pathetic misely coverage ITV gave (I know I am biased but our game was a much better, and less one sided, game than the Chelsea game so why the imbalence? Des would never have let this happen!!) Not going to pretend I will become a regular but I for one got the bug again and next game is going to be Charlton away and looking forwrad to getting a few more games in when Falmer opens.

If you enjoyed yesterday, you should see Withdean on a wet Saturday. That will get the bug back for sure. I'll see you at the Millwall game then........

Very well said sir. Many people out there like you who will probably return when Falmer reaches fruition.

Unfortunately you will soon see some twats slagging off the non regular fans without remembering that they were watching the Albion long before them. (The Complete Badger). Take no notice of them.

Always packed to the rafters is our Withdean. Oh wait, that doesnt quite work does it......

Don't mock The Withdean too much it is palacial compared to the old East Terrace on which I stood as a boy! The Goldstone holds fond memories but maybe Falmer would not have happened if we were still there. Funny old game init!

Palacial compared to the Doug Ellis toilets as well as someone commented yesterday, and I never thought Id say that.

That North Stand concourse was a tight squeeze as well. Not sure you'd get away with it if you were designing a new stand. Yet that stand was the lap of luxury compared with the rest of Villa Park when they built it.
