Not only useless but did anyone else find it difficult with him wearing black (same as gillingham players) shorts?

It looked like we lost the ball at least once as a result...

On a separate note..... Not overly impressed with the north stand tonight... Much much better on Saturday.

I'm sure the tackle on our player in front of the dugout should have been a straight red. Lunged in and was not even close to the ball.
At least half the gate receipts will pay off the fine that Gillingham will receive for 6+ yellow cards!

2 terrible refs in 2 games. Even gave decisions our way which were clearpy wrong. On Saturday random free kicks at the end of the first half and tonight a penalty for a (good) dive. Seems like we could be in for some dreadful decisions both ways this year.

Last season we complained because the big stadiums led to big crowds influencing the ref into favouring the home team. It seems as if they are determined not to let our stadium influence them to the point that they obstinately refuse to send off players who thoroughly deserve to go, for fear they're only doing it because we're calling for it.

Having said that, I thought that one incident (their 23 on Vincelot) was the only one deserving of a red, I didn't see what Ankergren, and the others did to deserve their yellows, so I don't know how right he was for them.

He'd totally lost control of the game by the end. The tackle on Vincelot was an absolute shocker and a red in anyones book...except his.

I thought the penalty decision was a bit dodgy but on the whole I thought he had a good game. I don't think he saw exactly what happened in front of the dug outs to be honest

He did better than I expected, first sight of him I expected a classic centre circle dweller. His movement defied his shape.

I was right down in the corner of the north and west stands and the noise from both was MIGHTILY impressive; especially on Vincelot's break in the second half. A veritable tsunami of sound. Marvellous.

Think Hess told his boys "if you go a goal down give them a kick and put them off their stride" as soon as we scored they became thugs and each took it in turns to get booked.

Pen I don't think was. Was sat in middle of the north and the ref clearly looked up at us all reacting and then gave it. Just saying.

He was decent in the 1st half I thought. Let play flow whilst still keeping control of things.

Had a SHOCKING 2nd half though. Quite how he could justify leaving Payne on the pitch after that assault on Vincelot defied belief. And a completely bone-headed decision to call us back for a free-kick for offside, instead of playing advantage after Noone had been put away clear down the left. Just amatuerish.

I was just behind the goal in the north, and it looked a very clear cut pen, he steped on Will's foot. It wasn't deliberate, but it was a pen (IMO, but I saw it clearly).
