My office has 9 old moniters to get rid of, are there any local charities that would want them?

we're based in Haywards Heath

You might find it hard to get rid of them, I've had this problem before and most charities won't accept them as they need to be current checked, health & safety gone mad etc. etc.

Your best bet is to approach Magpi or other recycling outfit who will pick them up for free and do the necessary to enable them to be re-used eventually.

Every other shop in Haywards Heath is a charity, so someone will want them.

You could always try Freecycle. We recently moved offices and it was going to cost a few thousand to get a company in to clear out the place but I put things on Freecycle and like a plague of locusts the office was stripped bare by Freecyclers.

Freecycle is great - although I am currently looking for a post for an estate agents board in the Central Worthing/Heene area, and not having much luck. You'd have thought someone would have one left behind in their front garden!

the problem is that are way out of date tech, cost more to run and take more space. Charities dont want because on top of H&S, they would become responsible for their environmental safe disposal. theses days people charge you to pick up old IT kit...

best thing is really to bin them at your local council yard where they will deal with them.

Thanks Greens :(
GreenCycle/freebrighton is polluted with CRT TV's and monitors at the mo...

Everyone is getting rid and replacing with flat screens

Sad to say, but there are ENORMOUS receptacles for these items at waste facilities, which is perhaps the end of the road for them...
